Signature cocktails in Zona T: the bar menu at The Lounge
A good cocktail can turn an average night into a memorable one. Bogotá’s Zona T has dozens of cocktail bars, but few combine the atmosphere, menu and service of a bar inside a premium casino. The Lounge Casino bar is one of those spaces — and you don’t need to be playing to enjoy it.
This guide walks you through The Lounge’s bar menu, how service works and why it’s a valid option for a night in Zona T even if gaming tables aren’t your thing.
The bar’s philosophy
The Lounge bar is designed as a destination, not a passageway. The idea is that you can have a properly made cocktail, hold a conversation without excessive noise and, if you want, extend the night to the restaurant or casino. The atmosphere is elegant but not rigid: smart casual is enough, and the staff won’t make you feel you have to order the most expensive wine on the list.
The bar works with premium products, classic technique and a menu that respects both iconic cocktails and signature creations. No unnecessary smoke or theatrics — good product, good technique, good drink.
What’s on the menu
The menu is organized into four main sections:
Classic cocktails
The fundamentals, well executed:
- Old Fashioned — with premium-select bourbon
- Negroni — classic proportion, impeccable balance
- Martini — dry or dirty, shaken or stirred, as you like
- Manhattan — with Italian vermouth and select bitters
- Whiskey Sour — fresh egg white, same-day lemon juice
For classics, order them the way you drink them, not the average way. A bar that knows what it’s doing will adjust the proportion without drama.
Signature cocktails
The creative side of the menu. In-house designs that combine classic techniques with Colombian and regional ingredients:
- Combinations with premium aguardiente in unexpected presentations
- Cocktails with Colombian fruits (lulo, feijoa, curuba) worked into infusions
- Variations on classics using local spirits
- Tiki options adapted to Bogotá’s climate
The signature menu rotates seasonally. Ask the bartender what’s coming out well that night — they usually recommend what’s freshest.
Collection whiskies
For those who prefer to drink neat, the whisky menu includes:
- Single malt Scotch — Highlands, Speyside, Islay
- American bourbon — single barrel selections
- Irish whiskey — single-cask options
- Japanese whisky — when available
Served neat, with water, with a large rock or in a cocktail. If you don’t know where to start, the bartender guides you based on your profile (sweet, smoky, fruity, dry).
International wines
The wine menu complements both the bar and the restaurant:
- Reds — from Argentina, Chile, Spain, France, Italy
- Whites — sauvignon, chardonnay, albariño, riesling
- Sparkling — French champagne, cava, prosecco
- By the glass or bottle — flexibility for any group size
How service works
Three ways to enjoy a cocktail at The Lounge:
1. At the bar directly — the most “bar” experience. You watch the bartender work, can ask for recommendations, and the pace is dynamic.
2. At a bar or restaurant table — if you’re in a group or want a more relaxed conversation. The service brings drinks to your table; you can extend to food without moving.
3. At the gaming table — table service at the casino. You order your cocktail from your blackjack, poker or slot seat, and it comes to you. Practical for longer sessions.
All three options receive the same attention. There’s no hierarchy between ordering at the bar vs. at a table — it depends on your mood.
When to go
Weekdays (Monday to Thursday): the bar is calmer. Flowing conversation, personal bartender attention, easy to get a bar seat. If you’re interested in learning about the signature menu, this is the best time.
Weekends (Friday to Saturday): more active atmosphere. More people, more pace, more energy. If you’re with a group and looking for a higher-movement plan, weekends are ideal.
Sundays: in between. Not as quiet as Monday, not as intense as Saturday. Good option if you want a middle ground.
Combining with restaurant and casino
The bar works perfectly as a single stop, but also as part of a larger plan:
- Bar → restaurant: have an aperitif at the bar while waiting for a table; the restaurant is steps away in the same space.
- Restaurant → bar: end with a digestif or cocktail after dinner, without leaving the building.
- Bar → casino: a cocktail before sitting at a table works well; just remember to pace yourself if you plan to play for hours.
The Lounge is designed so you have multiple options without leaving. If you want to stay at the bar alone, great. If you want to extend, no friction.
