Zona T
Zona T by night: dinner, cocktails and casino in a single plan
Zona T — the triangle formed by Calle 82 between Carreras 12 and 13 — has been the heart of Bogotá’s nightlife for decades. You walk everywhere, the food is great, the drinks are great, and you have options for almost any mood within a two-block radius. If you want to build a complete night out without traveling far, it’s one of the best sectors in the city.
This guide is practical: it helps you build a 3-to-5-hour plan in Zona T combining dinner, cocktails and casino, all inside the same area. Not an exhaustive listing of every venue — it’s a functional route for a well-spent night.
Why Zona T works
Three things make Zona T ideal for a night plan:
- Density: everything is walking distance. You don’t need Uber between venues inside the sector.
- Variety: from signature-cuisine restaurants to cocktail bars, casinos, lounges and clubs. You can adapt to your mood without leaving the area.
- Extended hours: most major venues stay open until 3:00 a.m. Enough for a complete plan without feeling rushed.
The base plan: 3 stages
A well-structured night plan in Zona T has three stages. You don’t have to do all three — you can do one, two, or combine as time allows.
Stage 1: Dinner (7:30 - 9:30 p.m.)
Start with a good dinner. Zona T has signature cuisine, contemporary Colombian food, international options and several of Bogotá’s best restaurants. Dinner sets the tone — if you arrive with good energy and good food, the rest of the night flows.
Practical note: book a table. On weekends, walking in without a reservation can mean a 45-minute wait. Weekdays are more flexible, but calling ahead is still worth it.
Stage 2: Cocktails (9:30 - 11:30 p.m.)
After dinner, Zona T offers dozens of bars and lounges for cocktails. This is the most flexible stage — you can stay at the restaurant for a digestif, move to a signature cocktail bar, or find a rooftop for a drink with a view.
Two hours of cocktails is enough to enjoy without rushing. If you plan to extend to the casino, moderate the pace — you’ll want to be sharp at the tables.
Stage 3: Casino (11:30 p.m. - 2:00 a.m.)
The final stage is optional but recommended if you want more than just dinner and drinks. The Lounge Casino is at Calle 81 #12-70, a few minutes on foot from Zona T’s main restaurants and bars. Open until 3:00 a.m., it offers blackjack, slots, baccarat, Ultimate Texas Hold’em and the largest poker room in Bogotá.
For a night plan, the casino works best with a short, specific session: 90 minutes at blackjack or roulette is usually enough. If you’re here for poker, plan more time — a decent cash game session takes at least 2 hours.
Adjustments by day
Monday through Thursday: quieter sector. Easier reservations, casino with more table space, relaxed vibe. Ideal for a conversation-focused night.
Friday and Saturday: Zona T at full intensity. Reservations essential for restaurants, busy streets, casino with more energy but also longer waits for tables. Festive atmosphere.
Sundays: slower pace. Some venues close early; major restaurants and the casino stay open with adjusted hours. Good day for a more relaxed plan.
What to bring, what to expect
Dress code: smart casual works at most venues. Avoid sneakers at signature restaurants and formal casinos. The Lounge Casino doesn’t enforce a strict code but rewards style.
Budget: ranges vary by venue, day, and menu. For concrete numbers:
- Dinner: check the menu at The Lounge’s restaurant or neighboring restaurants in Zona T.
- Cocktails: the bar menu has current options; whichever spot you choose defines the range.
- Casino: set your own entertainment budget before you start and respect it.
What stays constant: Zona T covers a wide range — you can design an economical night or a premium one without leaving the area. The difference is in where you eat and what you drink, not in how much you “should” spend.
ID: required at casinos. National ID or passport. 18+ only.
Time: plan 3 to 5 hours if doing all three stages. Add time if you’re with a larger group.
Getting there and back

Getting home:
- Uber or taxi is most recommended after midnight, especially if you’ve had cocktails.
- Don’t drive if you’ve been drinking. Zona T has wide Uber availability until 3:00 a.m.
